“While Jesus was speaking to the crowds his mother and his brothers appeared outside, wishing to speak with him. Someone told him ‘Your mother and your brothers…are asking to speak with you.’ But he said in reply…’Who is my mother, who are my brothers…Whoever does the will of my heavenly Father is my brother and sister and mother.” Matthew 12:46-48, 50. St. Therese of Lisieux said, “I do not tremble when I see my weakness, for the treasures of a mother belong also to her child, and I am thy child, O dear Mother Mary.”
Let us pray, Lord Jesus, we thank You for Your Mother and ours, for her great and humble example of what it is to be Your disciple, to be Your Mother or sister or brother. Mary always loved the Father’s will, even at the foot of the cross, she lived the words ‘Thy Will Be Done’. Mother Mary, pray for us always. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
