Word for Easter Wednesday April 12.

“In those days: Peter and John were going up to the
temple . . . And a man lame from birth was being carried . . . Seeing Peter and John about to go
into the temple, he asked for alms. And Peter . . . said, “Look at us . . . I have no silver and gold,
but I give you what I have; in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise and walk.” Acts 3:1-6.

St. Alphonsus Liguori said, “The Holy Name of Jesus is, first of all, a powerful prayer…Each
time we say ‘Jesus’, it is an act of perfect love, for we offer to God the infinite love of Jesus.”
Let us pray, Lord Jesus, Peter gave what he had: It is You and Your power that restored to
wholeness. Peter called upon Your Name which transformed the lame man. Teach us to pray and
how best to call upon Your Name, as we journey on. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed.
