“Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved was following them…the one who had said ‘Master, who is the one who will betray you?’ When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus ‘Lord, what about him?’ Jesus said to him ‘What if I want him to remain until I come? What concern is it of yours? You, follow me.” John 21:20-22. St. Francis of Assisi said, “Lord, help me to live this day quietly and easily, to lean upon thy great strength trustfully, restfully, to wait for the unfolding of thy will patiently, to meet others joyously.”
Let us pray, Lord God, teach us to follow your calling for us, and to be happy in this. We can compare ourselves and wonder about gifts given to others. Instead, may we be filled with gratitude, knowing that your plan is perfect for us. You give us all that we need and more. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
