Word for Monday September 7. St. Regina, Virgin and Martyr.

The scribes and Pharisees watched Jesus closely to see if he would cure on the Sabbath…Then Jesus said to them ‘Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath rather than to do evil, to save life rather than destroy it?’ Looking at them all, he said to the man, ‘Stretch out your hand.’ The man did so and his hand was restored.” Luke 6:7, 9-10. St. Vincent Palloti said, “While we have life, let us do good. Tomorrow is in God’s hands.”

Let us pray, Holy God, help us we pray, to see that the bottom line is love. If we look hard, we can see that doing the loving thing fulfills the law. It isn’t
complicated. We just need generosity of heart. Fill us we pray, with the grace of generosity, make our hearts like yours. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
