“At that time: The seventy returned with joy, saying, “Lord, even the demons are subject to us in your name!” And he said to them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Behold, I have given you authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall hurt you. Nevertheless do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you; but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.” Luke 10:17-20. St. John Chrysostom repeated this: “Let us not rejoice merely because demons are subject to us, but because our names are written in heaven.”
Let us pray, Lord, we thank You for the power, through Your Spirit, that You have given to Your beloved ministers among us. Continue to empower them in every situation of their lives, even when they experience fatigue and weakness, that they may always support their communities, standing in the gap for Your grace to flow to Your people. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
