“Soon a woman whose daughter had an unclean spirit heard
about him…and she begged Jesus to drive the demon out of her daughter. He said to her “let the
children be fed first, for it is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs.”
She said to him “Lord even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.” Mark 7:25-28. St.
Albert the Great said, “The greater and more persistent your confidence in God, the more
abundantly you will receive, all that you ask.” Let us pray, Lord Jesus, Your greatest attribute is
Your mercy. Thank You for this woman who persisted, trusting more in Your mercy than all the
circumstances. And You could not resist her. May we follow in her steps, and put all our trust in
