“The Pharisees and scribes questioned him, “Why do your
disciples not follow the tradition of the elders…?” He responded “Well did Isaiah prophesy
about you hypocrites, as it is written – ‘this people honors me with their lips, but their hearts are
far from me.’” Mark 7:5-6. Confucius said, “Act with kindness, but do not expect gratitude.” Let
us pray, Heavenly Father, we sometimes look at details of the lives of others, offering judgement
in order to lift ourselves up. Grant us the grace today, to lead with compassion, listening and
