“Jesus told this story: A man gave a great dinner, to which he invited many…But one by one they all began to excuse themselves. The first said ‘I have purchased a field and must go to examine it’…Another said, ‘I have just married a woman and therefore I cannot come.’…The master of the house in a rage commanded his servant ‘Go out quickly into the streets…and bring in the poor, the crippled, the blind and the lame…that my home may be filled.” Luke 14:16, 18, 20, 21, 23. St. Padre Pio said, “We must always have a heart full of love and a smile on our lips. This is how we show our love for God.”
Let us pray, O God, we make so many excuses, to avoid prayer, even to avoid Holy Mass. And they are not bad things, but just signs that we do not put you first. We do not love you with our whole heart, and our whole soul, and our whole body. In your mercy, pour forth your grace
today, that we may begin to love you as you deserve to be loved. Amen. Let your light shine. Be blessed. Larry.
