Word for Wednesday July 8. Sts. Aquila and Prisca.

“Israel is a luxuriant vine that yields its fruit. The more his fruit increased the more altars he built; as his country improved he improved his pillars. Their heart is false; now they must bear their guilt . . . Sow for yourselves righteousness, reap the fruit of mercy; break up your fallow ground, for it is the time to seek the lord, that he may come and rain salvation upon you.” Hosea 10:1-2a, 12. St. Teresa of Ávila said, "God never tires of forgiving us; we are the ones who tire of seeking His mercy.

Let us pray, Lord Jesus, when we become successful, prosperous, and comfortable, we often turn away from You and fall into sin and idolatry. Forgive us, Lord. Turn our hearts back to You, that we may seek Your love and mercy and remain the faithful children You call us to be. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
