Word for Friday May 15. St. Isdore the Farmer.

“At that time: Jesus said to his disciples, “Truly, truly, I say to you, you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice; you will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will turn into joy. When a woman is in lavour, she has pain, because her hour has come; but when she is delivered of the child, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a child is born into the world.” John 16:20-21. St. Ignatius of Loyola said, “If God sends you many sufferings, it is a sign that He has great plans for you.”

Let us pray, Lord Jesus, pain and suffering can lead us to a deeper and fuller life than before. May all that we go through draw us closer to You and bring forth a greater quality of life within us, both in this earthly journey and in our spiritual growth. Through every trial, strengthen our faith, deepen our hope, and perfect us in love. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
