“Everything that the Father gives me will come to me, and I will not reject anyone who comes to me, because I came down from heaven not to do my own will, but the will of the one who sent me…For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who sees the son and believes in him may have eternal life, and I shall raise him on the last day.” John 6:37-38, 40. St. Basil the Great said, “How shall we repay the Lord for all his goodness to us? He is so good that he asks no recompense except our love: that is the only pay he desires.”
Let us pray, Heavenly Father, you sent Jesus your Son because of your great love for us. You couldn’t bear that we would never find our way to you on our own, and so Jesus came and made the way through his life, death and resurrection. We thank you Father for your amazing love, for apart from you we can do nothing. Amen. “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed.
