“For this reason, I remind you to stir into flame the gift of God that you have through the imposition of my hands. For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice, but rather of power, and love, and of a sound mind. So do not be ashamed of your testimony to Our Lord…but bear your share of hardship for the Gospel, with the strength that comes from God.” 2 Timothy 1:6-8. St. Peter Damian said, “He pours light into our minds and gives us strength…as the soul is the life of the body, so the Holy Spirit is the life of our souls.”
Let us pray, O God, we are profoundly grateful for the gifts of power and love, and of a sound mind. May we stir into flame these gifts, by prayer and faith, by exercising them, by repenting when we fail. May our minds and hearts be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit always. St. Charles Lwanga and Companions, pray for us! “Let your light shine!!” Be blessed. Larry.
